Wedding Facilities

The Temple can cater for weddings of all sizes in its range of high quality rooms:

New Hall, with its splendid high vaulted ceilings and minstrel's gallery can seat 100 guests for civil ceremonies.

A superior room with a magnificent Inglenook fireplace, The King's Room can be used for receiving your guests and serving drinks and canapes on arrival.

Queens' is a spacious and elegant room ideal for the smaller Civil Ceremony.

The Reception

Set within the grounds of The Temple and adjacent to the Sunken Gardens is our elegant Marquee, seating up to 150 guests

The Marquee is extravagantly lined and swagged, has French doors leading onto solid wooden carpeted floors and attractive chandeliers, a mahogany dance floor, main bar and Champagne and Cocktail bar. A starlight ceiling is also available. Heated in cooler months, the Marquee is available throughout the year. Larger marquees can be provided by arrangement, to seat up to 400 guests.

The orangery leads from the house the the magnificent marquee, making an attractive setting where the newly-wed couple may choose to greet their guests before entering the marquee.

Receptions for 65 or less can be accommodated within the house itself utilising the two formal reception rooms, New Hall, with its vaulted ceilings and minstrel gallery and King's, with an open log fire where you can serve fresh coffee and wedding cake.
